∴ 10 জন ছাত্রের গড় বয়স = 10 × 20
= 200 বছর
আবার, 2 জন নতুন ছাত্র আসার পর ,
12 জন ছাত্রের গড় বয়স = (20+2) বছর
∴ 12 জন ছাত্রের মোট বয়স = (12 × 22 ) বছর
নতুন ২ জন ছাত্রের মোট বয়স = (264 - 200)
= 64 বছর
∴ 2 জন ছাত্রের গড় বয়স = 64/2 = 32 বছর
